Teamcenter Migration Tech Lead

Levitek is seeking an experienced Teamcenter Migration Technical Lead to lead enterprise-scale engineering data migration projects into Siemens Teamcenter. This role focuses on migrating CAD and PLM data from legacy systems to Teamcenter and requires strong technical expertise in PLM systems, databases, CAD data structures, coding, and migration automation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building migration utilities, analyzing source data, transforming engineering metadata, troubleshooting migration issues, and supporting end-to-end migration execution. Candidates with Teamcenter integration experience will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering data migration projects into Teamcenter.

  • Analyze source PLM/PDM/CAD systems.

  • Extract, transform, validate, and load engineering data into Teamcenter.

  • Develop migration utilities, scripts, and automation tools.

  • Work with customers and internal teams to understand migration requirements.

  • Perform CAD and metadata mapping between source and target systems.

  • Handle BOM, relationships, revisions, ownership, lifecycle, and document migration.

  • Troubleshoot migration failures, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.

  • Perform root-cause analysis and provide technical resolutions.

  • Work closely with database teams and PLM architects during migration execution.

  • Support data validation, reconciliation, and cutover activities.

  • Mentor junior engineers and guide technical execution.

  • Ensure migration quality, performance, and scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or related field

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PLM, Teamcenter, CAD, Databases, and Coding / Development

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent communication and technical leadership abilities

  • Ability to work independently in customer-facing environments

Mandatory Skillsets

  • Strong experience in PLM Data Migration

  • Strong experience with Siemens Teamcenter

  • Experience with CAD Data Management

  • Understanding of Engineering Data Structures

  • Strong Relational Database & SQL knowledge

  • Coding / Software Development experience

  • Programming experience in C#, Java, C++, or Python

  • Understanding of BOM structures and CAD assemblies

  • Experience with data transformation and mapping

  • Experience with migration automation and bulk data loading

  • Experience with CAD systems such as Creo, NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Inventor

  • Teamcenter integration experience

  • Teamcenter customization exposure

  • Experience with Teamcenter SOA / ITK

  • Exposure to Windchill, Enovia, Agile, or other PLM systems

  • Experience with migration performance optimization

  • Cloud or enterprise integration experience
