Sr. Windchill Developer

The Sr. Windchill Developer will participate in developing and maintaining Windchill applications for Levitek’s migration (BitPrecise) and integration (Tektonic) platforms. The selected candidate will contribute to both development and technical support activities, ensuring high-quality, reliable migration outcomes. This role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on development experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

​The Sr. Windchill Developer will work closely with Business Analysts and Solution Architects in an agile environment to deliver information system solutions and technical support for migration initiatives. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting PC, client–server, and application-level development tasks.

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications and utilities.

  • Assisting with interface development and consolidation efforts toward a unified PDM environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR

  • Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.

  • Experience customizing or automating Windchill using APIs.

  • Familiarity with the management of CAD data in Windchill

  • Understanding of Windchill database schema and data model

  • General understanding of Product Data Management (PDM) concepts and tools.

  • Familiarity with business processes such as Parts Management, BOM Management, and Configuration Management.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve issues.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on consensus-building.

  • Clear and positive communication skills, both verbal and written. English language proficiency required.

  • Ability to evaluate alternative solutions and understand downstream impacts.

  • Strong estimation skills for task duration and issue impact.

  • Quick learner with the ability to adopt new tools and technologies.

  • Proficiency in Java programming.

Preferred Skillsets

  • Knowledge of IFS data management, BOM structures, and supply chain processes is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub for repository management and pipelines.

  • Experience using Maven for Java build and dependency management.

  • Exposure to Rational CLM (or willingness to learn).

  • Knowledge of PTC Windchill PDMLink configuration is an advantage.

  • Experience with migration tools, including Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) and other vendor-provided utilities, is a plus.

  • Knowledge of other PLM system configurations (e.g. Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE) is a plus.

  • Knowledge and experience with CREO APIs (J-Link or Pro/Toolkit)

  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.

Infrastructure Skills

  • Knowledge of Windows OS and Windows services.

  • Experience with VMware vCloud Director or virtual machine provisioning is a plus.

  • Familiarity with J2EE application servers (e.g., JBoss) and deployment processes.

  • Experience with RTC (Rational Team Concert) source control is beneficial.
